Who is your perfect combat partner?
On your first journey with El, have you ever imagined the many adventures that lie ahead? Of course, an adventure is incomplete without a partner, as traveling alone is too dangerous.
This article will introduce you to the Partner System in CROSS GATE: Mobile, one of the key systems to help you become stronger.
🧑🤝🧑Starting Partners
Upon starting the game, players can unlock four starting partners: El, Michelle, Hank, and Hama. These partners will accompany you on your adventures through story quests and various dungeons.
Each character has a different class (profession), allowing players to assemble a team that suits their own playstyle.
⚔️Partner Profession Types
Partners are divided into the following main professions:
- Swordsman
- Mage
- Priest
- Axe Fighter
- Archer
- Sorcerer
Players can tap on their partner’s profile picture to view details such as stats, abilities, skills, and character class.
📈Partner Development
Your companion can be strengthened through:
- Upgrading attributes
- Equipping runes
- Increasing relationship level
The higher the Affection level, the stronger your team will become.
🎁How to Obtain a Partner
Players can obtain companions from:
- Unlocking with Silver Coins
- Developing Affection through the game system
How to Increase Affection Levels:
- Giving gifts
- Talking
- Healing
- Holding parties
- Completing quests together
When the relationship level reaches “Mutual Appreciation”, you can invite your companion to join your team.
💡Tip:
The NPC “Rococo” at the Adventurer’s Inn is an important character in this system. Don’t forget to visit.
Lineup
Once you have your desired companion, you can immediately form a team to fight. You can include up to 4 companions in your team, and a balanced team composition is key to defeating enemies.
🔮Rune System
When your companion reaches a certain level, the Rune system will unlock.
- Your companion’s strength directly depends on the runes they have.
- You can set up 2 rune pages (Rune Set 1 / Rune Set 2).
- Customize according to your play style and team.
🎨Rune Types
Common Runes
- Red / Purple / Blue
- Levels 1–3 available
- Usable by all characters
Special Runes (Gold)
- Usable only by designated characters
- Level 1 only
- Unlocks special skills for your partner
- Maximum 4 runes per character can be equipped.
📦How to Obtain Runes
- Daily Events such as:
- Hundred-Man Dojo
- Arena
- In-game package random draws
- Exchange Shop:
- Support Points
- Captain Points
- Guild Shop
- Use Clan Points to exchange for Gold Runes
🔗Bond System
Some partners have special bonds with each other. Completing these bonds will increase the stats of the main character or the entire team. This system greatly enhances the team’s overall combat power.
🧠Team Building Guide
Partners play a crucial role in various content such as: Hundred-Man Dojo, Arena, and monster hunting. Team composition should be based on your chosen characters.
