Backpack System
The core of character management begins at the “Inventory”, which isn’t just for storing items, but serves as the central hub for checking character readiness and elemental destructive power. Let’s take a look at what the various menus do.
🎒Main interface
The main screen of the bag is divided into two sides for easier management:
Left side: Character stats
- Character Score: An indicator of your character’s overall skill level.
- Elemental Crystal: Displays the element currently equipped (which affects win/loss relationships).
- Equipment Mastery: Displays the effectiveness level of the equipped equipment.
Right side: Inventory Slots
The items are categorized into 4 pages:
- All: Includes all items in your inventory.
- Quest: Essential items used to clear quests (will not be mixed with general items).
- Materials: Items used for crafting or upgrading items.
- Encyclopedia: Cards or items containing monster information.
🌀Elemental System
The key to combat in Cross Gate is leveraging elemental strengths to your opponent. Choosing elemental crystals that counter your opponent’s type can dramatically increase your damage!
Summary of the Elemental weak/strength:
- 🟢Earth beats 🔵Water
- 🔵Water beats 🔥Fire
- 🔥Fire beats 🟡Wind
- 🟡Wind beats🟢Earth
💡Tip: Before entering a battle or fighting a boss, don’t forget to check the enemy’s element and replace the elemental crystals in your inventory accordingly. This will greatly help you pass the stage more easily.
⚙️Shortcut
At the bottom of the bag window, there are shortcuts to quick access:
- 🏦Personal wearhouse: Deposit unused items to free up space in your inventory.
- 💰Quick sales: Clear out unwanted junk or items and convert them into silver coins in a single click.
- 📦Organized: Organize items by category for easier access and management
